On 29 March 2025, the CEO of Reinsurance Brokerage Solutions (RBS), alongside the regulator of Rwanda’s insurance industry and the Chairman of the Rwanda Insurers Association, held a high-level meeting with His Excellency Ambassador Johnson Busingye. The delegation convened to brief the Ambassador on the key outcomes of a recent strategic visit focused on enhancing Rwanda’s positioning in the global insurance market. This collaborative engagement underscored the nation’s commitment to strengthening institutional partnerships and expanding opportunities within the insurance and risk management sectors.

A central highlight of the briefing was the exploration of strategic partnership opportunities with Africa Specialty Risks (ASR). The discussions placed particular emphasis on Rwanda’s potential direct access to ASR’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 2454 — a move poised to significantly elevate Rwanda’s global reinsurance footprint. By unlocking access to international markets and advanced risk solutions, this partnership aligns with national goals to enhance financial resilience and deepen the insurance sector’s integration with global standards.
